Who We Are

Med Student On Call Care was created to support healthcare professionals with dependable, community-based childcare solutions. After babysitting since the age of 13 and continuing through medical school in Columbia, I organically built a trusted network of medical students who genuinely love working with children and supporting families.

Over time, it became clear that healthcare professionals with in-person, non-flexible careers needed reliable support they could trust — caregivers who not only show up, but show up fully, with professionalism, warmth, and a true connection to the families they serve. Med Student On Call Care was built to meet that need through a private, vetted network rooted in shared standards and community.

Together, our team offers a range of services and unique availabilities, including occasional weekday coverage and summer nannying.

Planning a trip? We’ve done plenty of long weekends & overnights for our families.

Bottom line: When we aren’t in lecture or clinicals, we are usually with the kiddos.

Whether it’s date night or daycare closed due to weather, we are here to help! We also understand hospital shifts start early (or late), and we will too! A benefit to our network is that, as medical students, we often are scheduled on different rotations, which gives us different availabilities! We have been able to find overnight, all-day, and early morning care for families without interruption to our clerkship requirements.

For your weekend away or work trip, our caregivers have extensive experience with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, including bedtime routines and overnight supervision.
Flat overnight rate (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM): $175
Hourly rate (outside overnight hours): $25/hour
